Trip Database

Trip Database

Trip is a clinical search engine designed to allow users to quickly and easily find and use high-quality research evidence to support their practice and/or care.

Trip has been online since 1997 and an important source of evidence-based content. The motto of the Founders of TRIP is – ‘Find evidence fast’ and this is something they aim to deliver for all searches done on the database

The subscribed version of TRIP promises lots more. As well as research evidence the engine allows clinicians to search across other content types like lots more systematic reviews and guidelines and also images, videos, patient information leaflets, educational courses and news.

This page in the website – https://www.tripdatabase.com/account/upgrade shows the comparison between the free and paid options

Subscriptions seem reasonable for both individuals and institutions. There seem to be options for lower pricing for developing countries

An interesting piece of history of TRIP is that the name originally stood for “Turning Research Into Practice”. They do not use the full form any more – just TRIP

How about institutions in India checking out this resource – as a step towards finding evidence?
