Cochrane Summaries The Cochrane Library has a database of "Systematic Reviews" which are reviews by experts who analyze large studies to find out what really matters. Cochrane Summaries give us the gist of the reviews in plain language - something that an educated consumer can understand or a doctor can use to communicate with a patient or health consumer. PubMed Health Launched very recently by the National Library of Medicine, USA, PubMed Health provides reviews of clinical effectiveness research, with easy-to-read summaries for consumers, as well as full technical reports. "Clinical effectiveness research" finds answers to the question “What works?” in medical and health care. You can find a medical encyclopedia, a consumer section, guidelines, executive summaries and more. The site is expected to grow quickly with content for health professionals and consumers. The National Union Catalog of Scientific Serials in India -http://nucssi.niscair.res.in/ is a catalog of journals available in India's Science libraries. Created by NISCAIR, New Delhi, it allows us to search for the availability of a journal title in various libraries. One can search for the title and restrict it to a city of choice. Various other search options are available. This tool needs to be used extensively to find articles in libraries across the country and to enable resource sharing by libraries. Have you written an article and wondered who else has cited it? There are two resources through which you can check. Google Scholar. Type in your name and for any article you have published (and is available somewhere on the net), just below the reference details, you will get a link - "Cited by 4" (the number will be actual number of citations). Click the link and you will see the references of the articles that have cited yours. A note of caution - you will find duplicates for various reasons, so you will have to manually remove those PubMed.…
