On Saturday Aug 3, I was invited to deliver a lecture on Literature Searching at the Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. This was at the 7th Annual Short Course in Clinical Research Methodology conducted on the 3rd and 4th of August. This is the first time I could be there early enough to attend from the inaugural talk onwards There were a little over 140 participants and we were told that the registration is increasing annually. This is one of the most regular pleas from students, academicians and doctors who do any kind of writing or even reading articles. They search PubMed, find a set of references and then "get stuck" for the full text.  I mention this in the Indian context, though I suspect this is true for any developing nation that does not have  HINARI privileges.
