On the 17th of October 2024 QMed's founder Mrs Vasumathi Sriganesh was presented the "Dr S.R. Ranganathan Lifetime Achievement Award" by the LIS Academy, Bengaluru. The award was presented at their Annual Conference - LISACON 2024, held at the Bharatidasan Universisty, Tiruchirapalli. She was given this award for "Honoring the integrity, innovation and transformative contributions to the Medical Information Systems".

Dr SR Ranganathan is considered the "Father of Library Sciences" and his works are known world over. Mrs. Vasumathi Sriganesh has tried to emulate his footsteps in her work through QMed.
