About a year back I had written a post - The AETCOM handbook has it! And that this handbook has a mention about "non-core competencies" that are highly desirable for an Indian medical graduate. Section 3.4.4: specifies that the Indian Medical Graduate must: “Demonstrate ability to search (including through electronic means), and critically evaluate the medical literature and apply the information in the care of the patient” But this is not taught even in the Research Methodology courses or informally, with few exceptions. This is something I get to hear from many faculty members and sometimes from students who have heard my lectures or webinars more than once. Live workshops – and what we learnt

A live workshop after two-and-a-half years I recently did a live workshop at the King George's Medical University, Lucknow.  We covered Literature Searching in PubMed and Cochrane Library, and also Mendeley for Reference Management. It was wonderful doing one after a gap of two-and-a-half years. It is great when students/residents want a photograph with you. Getting such a request from them is a privilege.
