Dr Jayanthi Shastri
Dr. Jayanthi Shastri is a distinguished clinical microbiologist whose career spans nearly four decades of transformative contributions to infectious disease diagnostics, outbreak preparedness, and microbiology education in India. She currently serves as Director of the Center of Excellence in Research & training in Infectious Diseases at Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Mumbai. She served as Professor and Head of Microbiology at Topiwala National Medical College & BYL Nair Hospital from 2007–2023.

Dr. Manu Mathew
Dr. Manu E Mathew is a seasoned public health professional with expertise in strengthening health systems, infectious diseases, health policy, and evidence-informed healthcare. Over the past decade, he has contributed significantly to national tuberculosis programmes, initially with the World Health Organization, Country Office in India (WHO-India) and currently with The International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union). His key contributions include building the Nikshay TB information ecosystem, setting up Direct Benefit Transfers(DBT) in TB, and developing Modern Training Systems for the TB programme in India. In addition, Dr. Manu is also involved with The Cochrane Collaboration as a systematic review author and has served as a trainer and methodological expert at the South Asian Cochrane Centre.

Dr. Philip Abraham
Dr Philip Abraham was Head of the Department of Gastroenterology at KEM Hospital and GS Medical College before he moved as Consultant Gastroenterologist to P D Hinduja Hospitals 25 years ago. He has been a teacher for DM / DrNB (Gastroenterology) and PhD (Applied Biology) for over 35 years and has over 110 original research publications to his credit. He was Editor of the indexed Indian Journal of Gastroenterology. He was awarded Lifetime Achievement Awards by the Indian Society of Gastroenterology, Indian Society of Clinical Research, and local professional chapters, and Outstanding Teacher awards. He has been the President of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology and the Indian Neurogastroenterology and Motility Association, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and the Indian College of Physicians

Dr Rajani Surendar Bhat
Dr Rajani Surendar Bhat is a physician who trained in internal medicine followed by fellowships in interventional pulmonology, critical care and palliative medicine. She is presently a consultant at SS Sparsh Hospitals, Rajarajeshwari Nagar and has worked with Apollo Hospital and Fortis Hospital, Bangalore, over the past decade as a consultant. She studied healthcare management from IIM Bangalore and medical law and ethics from National Law School , Bangalore. She has worked in diverse practice settings in India and the United States, ranging from resource-constrained primary health centres in tribal areas and urban slums to academic teaching institutions and quarternary care hospitals. She has a deep interest in public health, rural primary care, health equity, death literacy and healthcare communication. She turns to the arts to nurture a humanistic approach to healthcare.

Ms. Roshni Babu
Roshani Babu is a microbiologist, biotechnologist and a research ethicist by training and has worked as a bio-medical researcher in the past in HIV/ NeuroAIDS. She has now completed a decade of work in public health in India in various domains such as maternal and child health, tele-health, cancer screening, domestic violence, stroke rehabilitation etc., and both in public and private sector.

Dr Shirish Rao
Dr Shirish Rao is a general physician and public health researcher, currently undertaking a travel fellowship in primary care across rural India, exploring healthcare systems and communities. He graduated from Seth GS medical college and KEM Hospital Mumbai in 2024. His research spans surgical care, chronic pain, workforce and service delivery, community health, medical education, and health policy. He primarily works with the Association for Socially Applicable Research (ASAR) and has previously collaborated with the G4 Alliance, Mark Your Presence, ASPIRE, and the Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH). With over 25 peer-reviewed publications, his work has earned several awards and recognitions at national and international conferences.
