From our CEO

Meet Dr Nilesh - a Scientist at the ICMR Headquarters in New Delhi. He happened to attend our day long workshop - "Literature Searching to Author a Systematic Review" - on the 26th of November. We conducted this for about 40 scientists of the ICMR

Dr Nilesh says "I have been part of previous Systematic Review workshops. Typically Literature search is a single session in such workshops. You get just a birds' eye view and you only get an idea of what you must do. The concepts do not get clarified.

Today's dedicated session for literature search is very important, It forms the "bedrock" for someone who wants to do a Systematic Review properly! It really is important to do a full day or else for most people, they get stuck while actually doing the search. I know it improves with practice, but a full day session was much needed to learn how to carry out a proper search

Interestingly another participant felt that literature searching should have been a 3-4 days workshop! Yes of course. There is that much one could do, to ensure deeper and more effective learning!

Testimonials for QMedCourses

Course: Information Resources and Literature Searching
One of the most useful courses I have come across. This is the type of course that should be taught to UG students as well. Would help immensely in writing research papers. The pace was just right. Not too fast not too slow, just right. Sakshi Desai, Student, Psychology

Course: Advanced PubMed Searching for Authoring Systematic Reviews
I learnt how to document the strategy to use in the Review, and I also understood why a search strategy has to be so detailed for a systematic review. Komal Rane, Clinical Trial Intern, DY Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, Pune
