The QMed Team

From our CEO

Hello again!

Mumbai has had a rainy month in September but Mumbaikars go on! We at QMed did go on too. I delivered one webinar for a group of Ophthalmologists from the Eastern belt. Participating in the webinar were the enthusiastic organizers who go out of the way to see that Postgraduate Residents in their area get exposed to good learning. And of course the residents themselves who learnt, asked questions and contributed to discussions.

We did a workshop for the Department of Clinical Pharmacology at the KEM Hospital. It was a half day workshop on Zotero and the 20 participants gave their full effort at learning all nuances of the reference manager.

I must confess - I enjoy all such events and I really wish I could spend all my time teaching - delivering lectures, conducting workshops and recording video lessons for our ELearning platform. I am naturally blessed with teaching skills. I wish I could hire a couple more people who could take off the fundraising and awareness building load from me.

This month we were also delighted to welcome back an old colleague Lakshmi who had earlier worked with us for nearly four years. She is here for a temporary stint, but we would love to do all we can to have her long term! Lakshmi knows a lot about non-profits, lots more about ELearning and has absorbed the skills of teaching PubMed and the use of Reference managers. With that "Boolean AND" in place, I am sure you would understand why we do not want to let her go.

That means we need more funds, more enrolments, more workshops and lots of prayers. Please do all you can for us during the forthcoming Daan Utsav. Spread the word about us. Encourage colleagues, fellow students and all to enrol in www.qmedcourses.in Help us reach the right person in your institution to talk about our courses for everyone! And of course - you always have the option of donating to us and asking others to donate. With all this help, we can do lots and lots more for you!

Wishing you the best

Vasumathi Sriganesh
