QMedCONNECT: Highlights of January 2019

---

From our Founder's Desk

The year started on a sombre note for QMed, with the untimely loss of our Trustee Dr Anand Shandilya. In this month, we resolved that as we had to work to get another Trustee, we would do lots more to plan long term. Apart from our lectures, workshops and working on our ELearning courses, we did a fair amount of planning for strengthening our board and more.

Achievements

Vasumathi Sriganesh mentors around 25 participants of MECOR January 2019.

MECOR is an annual event conducted by a section of the American Thoracic Society, to strengthen research skills in India. Vasumathi Sriganesh has participated in this for years. This year, participants were made to view her recorded lectures before the event, and then work on search strategies for their topics and get mentored to improve them. The experiment was pretty successful!

Milestones

Vasumathi participated as faculty for the MECOR India program for the seventh time. Her contributions to this program are well appreciated by the faculty from the American Thoracic Society
